ΜΟΤΗΕR - DAUGHTER RETREAT SERIES

A series of four one-day retreats designed for girls in grades 7 - 9 and their mothers.

about

These formation events are meant to strengthen the bonds between generations and provide the kind of spiritual assistance girls need to negotiate the challenge of high school.

Each retreat is a self-contained event, so that the sequence can be entered with any of the four retreats.  Each retreat has as its patrons an angel and saint.  The theme of each revolves around a deep developmental aspect of moral and spiritual formation, pertinent to girls in this transition age.

The goal is to attend all four retreats.  Attendance at all four retreats (ideally over a 2 year period) constitutes completion of the program.  Upon graduation the girls receive a bracelet that includes symbols reminding them of how a devotion to the angels will equip them with the spiritual resources to navigate the moral dilemmas in the years ahead.

This retreat is devoted to reflecting on the vital role played by the Archangel Gabriel, the Angel of the Incarnation, who helps us understand the true vocation of woman and intercedes for us to develop an obedient spirit and a love for our Eucharistic Lord.

Young women today are faced with many conflicting messages and choices about what will make them happy now and in the future. But when they come to understand the true vocation of woman, they are equipped to discern the difference between truth and falsehood in the messages they hear and the choices set before them.

Join us for this wonderful opportunity to forge a stronger bond between the two of you by sharing and deepening your devotion to the St. Gianna Molla and the great Archangel chosen by God to announce to the Blessed Virgin Mary her own special role in God’s great plan of salvation for the world. The retreat includes talks and special activities (fun!), as well as opportunities for confession, adoration, and Mass.
